My name is Gennadii Bilous and I am a teacher at Gymnasium 290 in Kyiv. Originally, I am from Vinnytsia, where I gratuated from the School-lyceum #7 and Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University named after M. Kotsubyns'kyi.
I have been teaching in Gymnasium 290 for 8 years already and I am (still) full of energy and enthusiasm when working with students.
My second main aim in teaching English except the language itself is being my students' friend outside the classroom. Only then students do learn a subject and attend classess when they know that a teacher cares about them and is really into what personalities they are, rather than what their level of knowledge is. I am sure that positive atmosphere in the classroom will inevitably raise students' results in the end.
My life motto is 'KEEP YOUR MIND WIDE OPEN' (from Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson). Only by being ready for changes and staying aware of all the latest can we, as teachers, be life coaches and guides for our students in class and outside it.
